Non-Formal Education for Inclusion of Youths with Disabilities in Community Activities

From August 24th to 30th, the Association Clubul Sportiv Forza Junior Costuleni organized a Professional Development Activity (PDA) entitled “Non-formal education for inclusion of youths with disabilities in community activities.” The training course focused on working methods with people with locomotor and visual impairments.

The initiative brought together youth workers from Romania, Cyprus, Greece, and North Macedonia. In total, 16 participants were involved, including 3 persons with disabilities, 3 attendants, and 2 trainers, one of whom is completely blind.

During the mobility, the FEIB project (Fencing for Equity and Inclusion for people with visual, locomotor and mental impairments) was also presented, where fencing is promoted as a tool for equity and inclusion for people with visual, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Participants discussed the project’s goals, the results already achieved, the next steps, and future perspectives. To ensure continuous access to up-to-date information, the official website, newsletter, and partnership consortium details were shared.
