The VAPEP methodology and the tools developed by the project were used during a PDA in Romania. The innovative and educational impact of FEIB is already spreading to other countries.
From 15 till 23rd of April 2026, our partner from Romania, Asociația Clubul Sportiv Forța Junior Costuleni, held a PDA (Professional Development Activity).
That was a training course named “Vision”.
The topic was how to adapt and accessibilize through non-formal education methods in order to have inclusive activities in different fields for visual impairment youths.
In this project, participants were from Romania, Czech Republic, Republic of Serbia, Armenia, Georgia and Republic of Moldova.
All the organizations are working with visual impairment youths and adults.
The project have reunited 31 participants, some of them having visual deficiencies, and also the opportunity to be accompanied by attendants.
The project started with workshops from how to help a visual impairment for guidance, for the proper description of objects and distance.
Going through inclusive theatre different sports like showdown, goalball that were specially designed for visual impairment and also adapted sports such as football, running adapted the internal and external environments.
A study visit to a high school specialized for children and youths with visual deficiencies. We presented its main goal and objectives.
All the phases we have. First, of course, what we have Achieved and accomplished is the research in our countries, the VAPEP methodology based on the five principles learned from the Nimes conference .
Innovations in assistive technologies and different types of applications and technology that can be helpful and useful for visual impairment. There were workshops where the participants found out about different applications, assistive technologies and innovations in this field for a bigger quality level of life for people that are having full sight/ no sight. The participants had the chance to test the newest and the strongest assistive technology from Lumen.
Eddy Hilițanu, trainer of TC VISION mentioned: ” A special interest and focus participants had on our project FEIB (Fencing Equity Inclusion Belonging) we shared all the phases we have achieved and accomplished: the research in our countries, the VAPE methodology and it s 5 principles, the conference from Nimes, online training for sport operators. What will be the next free open days of inclusive fencing and 8 training classes.” During the mobility, the participants also learned about inclusive fencing for wheelchair and cognitive disorders.
The trainers explained how to adapt a sport, class or a room for visual impairment. After that, all of us did exercises to warm up so they would not experience any injuries. All the participants and also their attendants had the opportunity to try it, to play it, and all of them enjoyed it very much.

Thanks to the FEIB project and our workshops that were theory and practice, we showed how fencing can be an inclusive tool in each common-community. After our mobility from Romania, the FEIB project now is known in more countries. That means a bigger and beneficial impact in even more communities.
